Gary Bonnett - Lead Vocals and Guitar As a songwriter, to be true to yourself and your fans, you have to write what you live and live what you write. At the age of 29, West Virginia Native, Gary Bonnett brings all of those real life things to the table. After touring the country and opening up for Superstars such as Pat Green, Stoney Larue, Darryl Worley, and Keith Urban just to name a few, it was time for a new album to be released. This album would need to shed light on the trials and tribulations in this young man’s life. The sophomore album “Red Dirt Songs” has captured all of those things. With Bonnett penning all of 14 tracks on this album, it gives great incite to his life and inner circle of his thoughts and feelings. Following up on the heels of his debut album “The Long Road Home,” that topped out at #31 on the Americana Roots Charts, Bonnett had to bring the heat and that he did. Pulling from his career in the Air Force, love of Red Dirt Music, crazy love life, busy touring schedule, and pure country living, Gary shows his maturity and growth in writing and in life. “I had to take things to the next level” says Gary. With the new album already creating a buzz in Nashville and Austin, Fusion Country is the term coined for this album. Big boots need to be filled, because that means that the album is not too Texas for Nashville and not too Nashville for Texas. All in all that is a great thing. The release of “Red Dirt Songs” in January 2010 brings the beginning of a new chapter and the continuation of a great creative career. This album is available on garybonnett.com, cdbaby.com, and iTunes. This album was created in WV, recorded in Texas, and enjoyed by people around the world. |
